Tuna Wages: Fish, Money and Faʻa Samoa
This documentary chronicles the lives of Samoa’s people who faced twin disasters beginning in 2009 when a tsunami, coupled with the rapidly disappearing tuna packing industry combined to wreak havoc on the physical and economic landscape of the once idyllic U.S. Territory. Interviews with workers, officials and politicians will examine the day-to-day hardships faced by these resilient islanders who rely on faith, family and culture to rebuild their lives.
