The Reel Wāhine of Hawai'i short film series chronicles talented and pioneering women filmmakers who tell Hawai‘i stories uniquely through a camera lens. Jana Park is a Moloka‘i raised producer/director whose narrative films bridge the diverse communities which make up Hawai‘i.

Jana Park is a multi-talented artist from Hawaiʻi, with experience in acting, writing, producing, and directing. She has produced award-winning short films and worked on feature films, including Molokaʻi Bound. Jana is also a SAG_AFTRA actress and has performed in plays and TV commercials. She has worked on productions for clients such as Disney and Louis Vuitton. Jana is currently the Executive Director of Hawaiʻi Filmmakers Collective, a non-profit supporting independent filmmakers in Hawaiʻi.
Fé María Vásquez - Producer/Writer/Director
Fé María Vásquez is an award-winning director, producer, mentor, and fine artist. She graduated as Valedictorian from La Escuela de Cine y Televisión in Caracas and became one of the top First Assistant Directors in the country, running local and international productions. In 2011, Fé relocated to Oahu, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Hawai'i with a B.A. in Creative Media. Fé's extensive list of work expands from TV commercials to feature films. Her list of credits is extensive and includes Under the Blood Red Sun (2014), directed by Tim Savage, Katy Perry's music video Harleys in Hawaiʻi (2020); and The Wind and The Reckoning. Known for her dedication to excellence, passion for mentorship, and eye for beauty, she aims to empower other creatives and inspire social change.
Taylor Gruver - Camera/Audio/Editor
Taylor Gruver is a freelance filmaker with experience in multiple areas of filmmaking including sound design, editing, writing, directing, and producing. After serving in the United States Coast Guard from 2009 to 2016, Taylor attended film school at City College of San Francisco. She received an Associates in Cinema Production and began working as a sound effects editor and assistant editor in the Bay Area. Her directorial debut short film Highway 1 won multiple festival awards. Taylor currently lives on Oahu and works across all aspects of production and post-production for commercials, television and feature films.
Natasha Kosevych - Intern/Production Assistant
Natasha is originally from Ukraine and she came to the US two years ago with the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program) whose goal is to explore American culture as well as educate others about your country of origin. Currently, Nataly is studying Communication studies and Multimedia at Hawaiʻi Pacific University. She believes the media has an indescribable impact and power on society nowadays.
