PIC and ʻOhina Partnership
If you’re a filmmaker in Hawai‘i looking for support to develop your short film or web series pilot script, submit your screenplay to ‘Ohina’s Filmmakers Lab. The lab is a great opportunity to learn from some of the best working screenwriters and filmmakers today.
This year PIC is proud to announce a partnership with ‘Ohina (ʻOhina Short Film Showcase) to offer a new educational training grant as part of the ‘Ohina Filmmakers Lab: the PIC Mentorship Grant! PIC will offer a $3,000 grant towards facilitating a mentorship between a local film professional and an emerging filmmaker, to help prepare an application towards our Digital Shorts Fund and fundraising costs. The project that best demonstrates an innovative and fresh approach to exploring the Pacific Islander experience will receive this mentorship grant to assist with developing a fundraising strategy.
This collaboration will be a learning opportunity for up-and-coming filmmakers to gain valuable experience with applying to national funding bodies.
The submission deadline is July 25, 2018. For more info, follow us on social media for updates!
