Vision Media Maker Open Call - Public Media Fund
Applications for Vision Maker Media funding are now open! By empowering Native communities to tell their stories through film, we can cultivate a more diverse, more understanding world. If you or someone you know has a film looking to be funded apply for 2021 VMMFunding.

BAVC's MediaMaker Fellowship, is open for applications through February 14
We’re looking for filmmakers from across the country, especially those traditionally underrepresented in the industry, who are working on directing their first or second feature documentary. This is a collaborative, community-driven Fellowship for filmmakers who not only want to shape their films in a supportive environment but build career-spanning relationships with peers and mentors.
Racial Justice Reel Camp for Girls
Join us fora FREE & ONLINE Reel Camp for Girls during Spring break 2021. In collaboration with the Pōpolo Project and the UHM Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Campus Center, we will facilitate conversation on Racial Justice, filmmaking, and produce a short film by the end of the camp.

2021 HBO APA Visionaries Short Film Competition
Now in its 5th year, the HBO Asian Pacific American Visionaries is a short film competition sponsored by HBO that provides emerging directors of Asian and/or Pacific Islander descent the opportunity to showcase their work.
The theme for the 2021 APA Visionaries Short Film Competition is “Taking the Lead.” Films should portray Asian Pacific Americans as being at the forefront of a given narrative, embracing the spirits of trailblazers, heroes, and luminaries through a unique lens.
Submissions will be accepted at FilmFreeway until April 1, 2021 at 11:59 pm PST.

VMM has partnered with MIGIZI in designing a Native Youth Media Guidebook that will aid instructors in classrooms, after school programs and more.
