The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival exhibits nearly 100 documentary films in a variety of programs. By submitting an application, your film will be considered for both the NEW DOCS and Invited Program categories. Films screening in the Invited Program are not eligible for awards.
Seattle International Film Festival - Late Deadline, January 4, 2019
SIFF believes in film's unique power to share original stories, diverse perspectives, and rich emotional journeys. Beginning in 1976 with the annual Seattle International Film Festival, expanding into SIFF Education, and most recently operating our year-round five-screen SIFF Cinema, we have provided experiences that bring people together to discover extraordinary films from around the world. Our distinctly smart audiences allow us to take risks, host complex conversations, and truly appreciate film.
Funding Opportunities
In addition to our annual 7-day film festival, we are proud to share the American Documentary Film Fund with independent American filmmakers who will participate and compete for financing for new projects as well as works in progress. An amount up to $50,000 may be awarded or distributed in any given year.
Filmmakers without Borders - January 1, 2019
Filmmakers Without Borders supports independent filmmakers around the world via grants and other funding initiatives. Supported projects include narrative films, documentary films, and new media projects that align with themes of social justice, empowerment, and cultural exchange.
Ford Foundation JustFilms Inquiry
We support artist-driven film and new media storytelling projects that explore aspects of inequality, as well as the organizations and networks that support these projects.
IDA - The Documentary Core Application Project
The Documentary Core Application is a collaborative effort by grantors who regularly fund documentary projects to standardize application requirements, with the aim of fostering greater access and a more equitable and sustainable documentary field.
