Hawaiian Soul
Against the backdrop of the 1970s native rights movement, George Helm, a young Hawaiian activist and musician must gain the support of kūpuna (community elders) from the island of Maui to aid in the fight of protecting the precious neighboring island of Kahoʻolawe from military bombing.

Hawaiian Soul is the story of George Helm, a musician and newly adopted activist, who is disturbed by an angry crowd and his inner demons. Through lessons of the past, he confronts his insecurities, using his musical ability to calm the crowd and soothe his soul, ultimately unifying the group.
