Funding Deadlines
- PIC Media Fund - Production and Completion - deadline October 10
PIC's Media Fund provides up to $50,000 in Production or Completion funding for single non-fiction programs of standard broadcast length that enhance public recognition of and appreciation for Pacific Islander history, culture, and society. Projects applying to Media Fund must be intended for national public television broadcast. The next Media Fund call for R&D applications is in January 2015.
- Diversity Development Fund (ITVS) - deadline October 10
The Diversity Development Fund (DDF) provides up to $15,000 in research and development funding to producers of color to develop single documentary programs for public television. Funded activities may include travel, research, script development, preliminary production for fundraising/work-in-progress reels, or other early phase activities.
- Frameline Completion Fund - deadline October 31
The Frameline Completion Fund provides grants to emerging and established filmmakers. This program seeks to provide a much-needed source of financial contributions to artists who often struggle to secure funding to complete their works. Submissions are being accepted for documentary, educational, narrative, animated or experimental projects about LGBTQ people and their communities. Grants up to $5,000 are available for films that represent and reflect LGBTQ life in all its complexity and richness.
- Tribeca All Access/TFI Documentary Fund/New Media Fund/Sloan Filmmaker Fund - deadline November 5
The Tribeca Film Institute champions storytellers to be catalysts for change in their communities and around the world. The deadlines for Tribeca All Access, TFI Documentary Fund, TFI Sloan Filmmaker Fund, and TFI New Media Fund are November 5th.
- ITVS LINCS Fund - rolling deadline
LINCS (Linking Independents and Co-producing Stations) provides matching funds to producer-station partnerships. Up to $100,000 in matching funds is available for a single broadcast program. LINCS accepts single public television programs of standard broadcast length, that include both broadcast and transmedia components, programs that can be completed within one year of contract, and will engage national as well as regional audiences, revealing universal themes through the lens of local perspectives and realities
- Ford Foundation Grants - rolling deadline
Our grant making focuses on reducing poverty and injustice; promoting democratic values; and advancing human knowledge, creativity and achievement. Requests are accepted in categories such as project planning and support; general support; and endowments. Types of support include grants, recoverable grants, loans and loan guarantees.
